The University of Missouri's Center for Regenerative Agriculture is recruiting a few more producers to participate in focus groups discussing soil health. The following dates are open:

  • Clinton, MO - Thursday March 21 (afternoon)
  • Trenton, MO - Friday March 22 (morning)
  • Columbia, MO (week of March 25-date TBD)

The University of Missouri's Center for Regenerative Agriculture and the Soil Health Assessment Center (SHAC) are recruiting Missouri producers that have taken part in a Soil and Water Conservation Directs' (SCWD) Cover Crop cost-share to participate in focus groups on soil health. 

Purpose of Focus Groups:

The goal of these focus groups is to explore how producers think about soil health and how best to comunicate soil health indicators and information delivered after you submit a soul sample to MU's Soil Health Assessment Center as part of this cost-share program. 

These focus groups will contribute to a project that is developing a soil health information platform to provide useful and relevant information to Missouri farmers. 

Seeking Farmers Who:

Have participated in a Soil and Water Conservation Directs' (SCWD) Cover Crop cost-share since 2015

Are currently farming in Missouri

Are 18 years and older

Want to participate in a 2.5 hour conversation

Participation Benefits/Compensation:

We will compensate all participants with a $200 honorarium

Location:

We will conduct four focus groups in different regions of Missouri in March 2024

Exact locations are to be determined. We will select locations that are convenient for producers who express interest and are selected to participate in a focus group.
