Farmers across the U.S. continue to find success with cover cropping and planting green, according to the 2023 Cover Crops Operational Practices Survey

About 70% of the farmers who took Cover Crop Strategies’ 2023 survey farm in the Corn Belt, making it the most common geography. The vast majority of respondents from all regions — 91.7% — use no-tillage. Conventional tillage was the second most popular tillage type at 21.3%.
